Mother's Day 2013 celebration.

Every year, my sibling and in laws will always create a group chat on what we are going to do for Mother's Day.

And we always end up dining out.

This year we wanted to do something different.

We had steamboat at home!

It was very cozy and fun. Although the cleaning part sucks. Hah.

But thankfully, the husband has already offered to clean and he did. Alhamdullilah!

Oh anyways, no pictures of us except Maya cause we were all busy eating and Mama and me was not wearing any head scarf. Lol.

Look who joins us at the dinner table!

Oh btw, did you guys see the green colored balls in grated coconut?

Yea, I made that! *grins*

Savvy is expanding! I'll talk about that in another entry. Heh.
(Wait, you do know what is Savvy right? Lol.)

Well, you know since I got married I have another mum. Aka IBU.

The husband and I planned for dinner with the in laws and my niece. Husband suggested trying the food at Streats Hongkong Cafe and I am so glad we did. I love the food there.

The menu.

Let's start with the appetizers, shall we?

 photo null-22.jpg

Pumpkin with salted egg.
I swear this is the yummiest food that I've ever tasted.
Its like sweet and salty at the same time.
Oh my god! Im drooling at the sight of this.

 photo null-23.jpg

Mayo Fries.
We thought they are going to sprinkle he mayo around the fires just like cheese fries but nope. The mayo is placed in a small bowl. Portion of mayo is like tahi hidug masin. Lol.
Not worth to get this!

Deep fried carrot cake.
Yes, you read it right. It's deep fried. So sedap nak mamps I tell you!
Its very crispy and crunchy. I LOVE IT!
The portion is small though. Like I said earlier, these are appetizers.

Let's proceed to the main course shall we?

 photo null-21.jpg

Noodles with chicken chop and egg.
Not spicy at all. Had to ask for chilli padi. And the noodles are like maggi noodles la sey!

 photo null-24.jpg

Abah's fried rice with salted fish.
He said it's nice and he is very picky with food.
So if he says it's nice, nice lor. Hah.

Ibu's rice with sliced fish cooked with ginger.
Ibu said it would taste better with fried rice instead of plain rice. And she also have to eat this with chilli padi.

 photo null-27.jpg

Hubby's fried noodles.
It looks red and spicy but it actually is not.
It tasted alright though but I think it would be better with chilli padi.

Yes I know. Tak habis habis with chili padi one!

 photo null-28.jpg

Nur's Pasta with chicken chop.
Tasted quite alright. Suitable for children.
