Fridate

I had a fridate with BFF.

We are going to KKH to visit Jo, our former principal who has recently just gave birth.

 photo null-40.jpg

It was scorching hot on Friday. Brought my Rayban out.
Wore a Pashmina shawl. =p

 photo null-41.jpg

Met up with this lady here at Bugis where we had our lunch at Tong Seng! Been ages since we ate there.

 photo null-48.jpg

I had sliced fish soup with rice, empedal and cuttlefish char kway shared by me and BFF.

Then we took a long walk under the hot sun to the bus stop where there was a shuttle service to KKH.

We were literally melting!

FInally reached KKH where there's aircon. Met u with Jo, chatted with her and Kenny and off I went to Pasir Ris to accompany Dida and Maya.

Didnt take any pictures there as my hp was dying and I had no charger.

Self reminder - Bring charger wherever I go!

Yup, that was my Friday!

Hope yours was as good.

Maya and I on a Monday

So it started the night before when my twin sister called me for a favor to look after Maya.

Of course I agreed!

I love that girl! Any chance just to be with her. Heh.

So Monday morning, Dida dropped by LA to drop Maya off and it was just me, hubby and Maya.

 photo null-33.jpg

This is Maya, laying on me. Nope, she is not sleeping.

 photo null-34.jpg

This is Maya, after shower and having her breakfast.
I cooked chicken and egg porridge for her.

This is Maya having her afternoon nap. With my arm as her pillow.

This is us going to visit Uncle Wan at the hospital.
My brother in law was warded and had to undergo surgery to remove his appendix.

Mother's Day 2013 celebration.

Every year, my sibling and in laws will always create a group chat on what we are going to do for Mother's Day.

And we always end up dining out.

This year we wanted to do something different.

We had steamboat at home!

It was very cozy and fun. Although the cleaning part sucks. Hah.

But thankfully, the husband has already offered to clean and he did. Alhamdullilah!

Oh anyways, no pictures of us except Maya cause we were all busy eating and Mama and me was not wearing any head scarf. Lol.

 photo null-42.jpg

Our intimate dinner for 8. Excluding the brother as he has to work.

 photo null-43.jpg

Grilling session. Yums.

 photo null-44.jpg

Look who joins us at the dinner table!

Oh btw, did you guys see the green colored balls in grated coconut?

Yea, I made that! *grins*

Savvy is expanding! I'll talk about that in another entry. Heh.
(Wait, you do know what is Savvy right? Lol.)

 photo null-45.jpg

Ended dinner with a super yummy Mango Ice Cream Cake from Swensens.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, you know since I got married I have another mum. Aka IBU.

The husband and I planned for dinner with the in laws and my niece. Husband suggested trying the food at Streats Hongkong Cafe and I am so glad we did. I love the food there.

 photo null-18.jpg

OOTD.
In love with the color BLUE.
Oh and if you like this piece, just PM me on FB or Savvy's page.

Dinner companions.

 photo null-19.jpg

The menu.

Let's start with the appetizers, shall we?

 photo null-22.jpg

Pumpkin with salted egg.
I swear this is the yummiest food that I've ever tasted.
Its like sweet and salty at the same time.
Oh my god! Im drooling at the sight of this.

 photo null-23.jpg

Mayo Fries.
We thought they are going to sprinkle he mayo around the fires just like cheese fries but nope. The mayo is placed in a small bowl. Portion of mayo is like tahi hidug masin. Lol.
Not worth to get this!

 photo null-25.jpg

Deep fried carrot cake.
Yes, you read it right. It's deep fried. So sedap nak mamps I tell you!
Its very crispy and crunchy. I LOVE IT!
The portion is small though. Like I said earlier, these are appetizers.

Let's proceed to the main course shall we?

 photo null-21.jpg

Noodles with chicken chop and egg.
Not spicy at all. Had to ask for chilli padi. And the noodles are like maggi noodles la sey!

 photo null-24.jpg

Abah's fried rice with salted fish.
He said it's nice and he is very picky with food.
So if he says it's nice, nice lor. Hah.

 photo null-26.jpg
Ibu's rice with sliced fish cooked with ginger.
Ibu said it would taste better with fried rice instead of plain rice. And she also have to eat this with chilli padi.

 photo null-27.jpg

Hubby's fried noodles.
It looks red and spicy but it actually is not.
It tasted alright though but I think it would be better with chilli padi.

Yes I know. Tak habis habis with chili padi one!

 photo null-28.jpg

Nur's Pasta with chicken chop.
Tasted quite alright. Suitable for children.

 photo null-29.jpg

 photo null-32.jpg

We are so full after dinner!

Right after dinner we had a lil bit of shopping done and I bought another pair of heels.

 photo null-30.jpg

Nice or not?
Guess how much I bought this for?

$12.90 ok!

Available at Charles & Keith! They are having store wide sale. Check them out if you havent!

 photo null-47.jpg

And I never thought I'd say this but here is us lepak-ing at Coffe Bean.

Lol.

Ended the day with me washing up and had a self pampering time.
Hope both my mothers enjoyed their dinner!

 photo null-31.jpg

Boo!
Good night!

Mother's Day 2013

 photo null-46.jpg

Mother's Day should not just be once a year. It should be every day.

Yet every year we choose that special date so every Mom in the world would feel extra special.

 photo null-16.jpg

Ma, we may have our differences. We may argue and bicker. We may not get along sometimes but I just want you to know that I appreciate what you have done to raise me up. Love you.

 photo null-17.jpg

When I got married 3 years back, I was blessed with another set of parents and I would't trade them for the world.

Thank you for everything Ibu. I really appreciate it.
