Food of the day

Double date
I have always loved double dates.
Nothing beats the company with another couple. Catching up with one another, getting to know one another over good food.
The Mister and i had a double date with one of my closest gf and her new beau.
We went to Badoque because this gf of mine has been craving for the food there.
I just went to Badoque last week but i didn't mind going again.
Who says 'No' to Badoque?
Definitely not me!
Enough with the rants. Pictures time!
My outfit of the day.
Maxi shawl from BKK, long sleeve inner also from BKK, outer wear from an online shop, maroon Cotton On jeans, flats from BKK and bag from Charles and Keith.

The Mister and I waited for Mitch to come fetch us. She was late as usual! So me and Hubby camewhored.
Finally reached Badoque and started camwhoring. Again. Lol.
Dinner dates.
I came up with the idea of taking everyone's pictures sipping their drinks. And everyone obliged. Haha.
We ate alot! Appetizers was Orange Chicken Salad and Hot and Sticky Drumlets. Super yummy!
Then came our main course. Too full to even order desert. Heh.
Everyone had pasta except for me. I ordered Mermaid's Tears.
Its actually dory with sticky rice and cream sauce. Sedaaaaaap! Tak bedek you. :p

Busy Day
I had a busy day today and i think i might have been pms-ing just a bit.
Started the day by cleaning the house, doing the laundry and cooking for the Mister. Just the norm.
And then right after Zuhur, i left the house to my former work place to collect my stuffs.
Had a lil catching up session with the former colleagues.
Wished i could stay longer but i had to rush to meet another girlfriend of mine.

Ana and her baby girl, Sarah.
Had another catching up session with her over lunch at Pizza Hut and we went our separate ways.
I had some me time at the library. Peace and quiet while reading before another meetup session with one of my GFF.
Yes, i met up with so many people in a day! And that's not the end.

This girl is a stalker sia! She color coordinates her outfit with my hijab. LOL.
After our coffee date, they sent me to Nadya's house for dinner.
I had a busy day. That was an understatement.

Sunday's cooking
Today, i was in a cooking mama mode.
So, i raided the kitchen to cook lunch.
Today's menu: Stir fried cabbage and ayam masak lemak chili padi.
This was the first time i cooked the latter from scratch. And the first time i cooked that in years.
The last time was when i was 17!
And mum bought the instant rempah! Just add milk.
This time, i blended all the ingredients. And i must say, not bad for a first timer!.
However, i wished i put more chilli padi in it.
Bread pudding with chocolate and cinnamon.
This was totally last minute.
I just felt like making this as i havent made this in the longest time.
It didnt taste as nice as before though.
But whatever. Hah.
That was my day, today.

Favorite Eatery
Before i start, i wanna post my ootd lei. Heh
I had my favorite skinny jeans on with a boyfriend shirt and maxi shawl. Bag from Charles and Keith. Shoes from BKK.
Today, i decided to try something different with my maxi shawl. I decided to add volume into my hijab. And thanks to youtube videos, i did just that.
Nice not? Heh. Ok back to what i wanted to blog about.
What makes the cut for your favorite eatery?
Mine has to be the delicious and affordable food, the customer service, the ambience and the general setting of the restaurant.
Not so much of the location though but if the food there is to die for, you wouldn't mind travelling.
And i really don't mind travelling.
That has to make the cut and where did i found it?
I heard about Badoque years ago from the internet.
One of their speciality was the gigantic steak.
That was the first dish i tried and it was delish!
I keep coming back as i wanted to try other dishes and i am so glad i keep coming back because the food never fails.
To top it off, the serving portions are huge. Worth every penny.
Something that you cannot get outside. (*cough*Swensens*cough*)
This favorite eatery of mine also absorbs GST. You need not pay the extra 7% hor!
So earlier today i went to Badoque for dinner with BFF and family.
I had my favorite drink of all time. Pink Ramlee which is actually ice blended watermelon! Super sedap i tell you.
What's with the name you ask?
Badoque came up with loads 3 other drinks where the names are super catchy. There's Zesty Zaiton, Sassy Sarimah and the other one i cant remember. Heh. Sorry.
From top left is the chicken salad. A must have appettiser. Its actually orange chicken salad. But Azly one kind one. Always want to order without the orange. Tsk.
Top right is the Sliced steak pasta with ultimate cheese sauce. I used to love to eat this. I still do but now im always experimenting with the other food. This one if eat with the olive il plus chilli padi combo, BERDESUT!.
Bottom left is the beef ribs. Very popular after the steak. Very filling.
Bottom right was what i had. Seafood cream risotto. I loved eating this with the olive oil and chilli padi combo. Sedap nak mampos! Initially i wanted to try the salmon thingy but its not available so had to settle for this lor. But i aint complaining cause i LIKE this alot!
For those who have yet to try Badoque, please do! You will not regret it.

Tuesdate
It was the mister''s off day and i dragged him out for lunch.
Been wanting to eat sushi so off to Ramen Ten we go.
Outfit of the day.
I had my Cotton On skinny jeans, outer wear from an online shop, white long sleeve top & maxi shawl from BKK, pumps & bag from Charles & Keith.
Absolutely love the tribal design of my maxi shawl.
Still need to experiment on how to wear the maxi shawl though as i always asal boleh belit one. Always.Heh.

What i love about the maxi shawl is that it provides chest coverage. And the prints? They are absolutely stunning! Me LOVE!
I only had a few plates of sushi and the prawn mayo. Hubs had the beef ramen. Sadly, i didnt get to eat the tofu sushi. Boo!~

After our late lunch, we went to grab desert.
Fried Mars Balls with vanilla ice cream. Superb i tell you!

My day with Maya
As I am not working anymore, i have loads of free time on my hand.
One of the best things i like doing is being with Maya, my baby niece.
I had to look after her as both her parents are working.
Today was the first time i looked after her, all by myself.
(Well until my elder sister showed up at my doorstep at around 4ish.)
So, my twin sister sent her to me at around 12 and straight away she started playing.
Her face is very masam and she was perspiring alot as she climbed up and down the steps.
Even i was tired. Till i had to block the staircase with three chairs. Lol.
Maya had her lunch after play. She really has grown so much. From sitting so demure on her rocker for eating time till cannot sit still. She's growing up, I know.
See, she even wants to hold her own spoon to feed herself!
After lunch, it was tv time for her. Well, everytime is tv time. Lol. But right after lunch, she was crawling around and standing up to watch tv.
The crawling and playing must have sinked in and she finally fell asleep! In that position.
As usual, she will wake up from her nap crying and wanting to be carried.
She continued sleeping on me for about half and hour or so before she finally woke up.
This is her just woke up face. She looks so 'kerek' in the top picture right? Heh.
I noticed that she loves books apart from climbing up the stairs.
She took her book and started flipping. She was also blabbering to herself. Too cute!
At 6.30pm, it was water play time!
She looks like she doesn't enjoy water play in the picture, but trust me, she does!
Milk time was next. Maya as usual, was watching her baby tv while feeding.
This was after feeding and Maya was stoning. Again.
I totally envy her lashes. So long!
