Sisters

I am so blessed to have a sister. And even better when i have not one but two.
My elder sister is just a year older than me and my twin yeap we're the same age. Duh.
We three have such a close age gap.
Of course, which sisters dont have arguments and drama?
We three are always bickering back when we were younger.
Now?
I can proudly say, NOPE.
I think we came to the point where we are all much more mature and we respect each other.
And after the three of us got married, we got even closer than ever.
Alhamdullilah!
As the three of us and our spouses are not staying in the same house anymore, I totally dig meet ups like this.
Us at Cahaya and Al ameen.
In the cookies of life, sisters are the chocolate chips.
Love you both!

Coney Dog

Just the other day I was thinking of hot dog with mustard and chili sauce.
Then, coincidently saw an ex colleague posting the picture of her own home made hot dog.
And I instantly wanted to make one myself too!
However, i was also thinking of coney dog from A&W.
Therefore, i made them! Jeng jeng jeng!
Sambal meat over steamed hotdog with mayonaise, mustard and chili sauce.
Yums!
Singapore should bring back A&W kan? Or, I should sell my sambal hotdog. Lol.
What do you think?

Food, glorious food

I love cooking. I cannot emphasize how much i look experimenting and all.
I love to see how my family members especially my husband enjoys my cooking. And trust me, he is very choosy with his food. He likes the traditional Malay dishes but i dont like cooking those dishes.
I am more prone to cooking Western dishes. But Alhamdullilah, my husband never complains.
He will eat whatever that is served.
Here are some dishes that i whipped up last few weeks.
My husband's favorite!
Shepherd Pie with baked beans.
Lasagne cuppies.
My brother has been bugging me to make this. its like the normal lasagne except we use popiah skin and of course i needed to add chilli padi in the sauce. No spicy, no kick!
Beef noodles.
Spinach Pasta with grilled salmon sprinkled with lemon butter sauce.
Nutella cuppies with a special treat!
Mac and Cheese.
Potato Cup Fritatas.
My very first attempt and it tastes so so good! Loves!
Tell me, how not to gain weight?!

I'm back!

I am back after weeks of being on a hiatus.
And as I was checking my stats, I was kind of surprised that there are still active readers who visited the site.
So sorry that it has been stagnant.
Well, I have loads to update you guys about and I do not know where to start.
Maybe. I shall start with the Mister's birthday.
This year since i'm not working, I did not get anything for hubby. But, i baked a birthday cake for him!
Yes, made from scratch. Although it didnt turn out perfect, the mister appreciated the thought.
Looks good ey?
I call this Chocolate Heaven cause the Mister LOVES chocolates.
Oh and 10 minutes before midnight, I finally finished baking the cake. Can you believe it?
Since Dida and Adek was in LA that weekend, we planned to surprise the Mister with the cake at midnight.
Although he knew about the cake but he didnt know what it looked like and that we are going to surprise him la.
So the Mister was a little bit surprised to see the cake.
Which is a peanut butter cake smothered with Nutella goodness, sprinkled with rainbow candies and topped with m&ms.
That night, the whole fam got together for his birthday diner at Sakura Shabu Shabu in Punggol End. So ulu the place!
Baby Girl just woke up thus the face. Lol.
The attendees.
Right after dinner we head outside for some camwhoring time.
See, Kak Long smile!
The men.
Women and a baby.
Momsie and her babies.
And of course, we needed a group shot.
The family will be expanding, Insya Allah. Cant wait! *winks*

Cooking Mama Part 6

Today's meal is seafood baked pasta.
Such an easy meal to make.
Took me about 30-45 minutes. Inclusive of cleaning.
Dish consists of mussels, prawns, squid and fish.
I also added spinach (my fav) and chilli padi for kicks.
I swear I need chilli padi in my meal now. Otherwise, the meal would be so bland. Heh.
I cooked the pasta with cream sauce made from scratch.
Im beginning to get the hang out of cooking.
Just a lil bit upset that i might not get to cook often since I will probably be going back to work.
Sigh.
